What are BOTOX® Cosmetic Treatments?

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a simple and safe way to minimize wrinkles, caused by contractions of the underlying facial muscles. Muscles around the eyes and forehead will overtime create wrinkles, lines, and furrows in the skin. By weakening and relaxing these contracting muscles, frown lines, worry lines, crow's feet and wrinkles can be erased. BOTOX® Cosmetic blocks impulses from the nerve to your muscles, relaxing the muscle. The relaxing of these facial muscles improves the appearance of these lines and wrinkles resulting in a softer smoother look. When used in small doses in these mimetic muscles that cause wrinkles of the forehead and face, existing creases fade and the formation of new wrinkles will be prevented.

BOTOX® Cosmetic Techniques:

BOTOX® Cosmetic is injected into the muscles of the face using tiny, micro needles. The procedure takes minutes to perform and begins to act in 3-5 days. You may return to work or other activities immediately after treatment. BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments last approximately 3-6 months, with enhanced duration after multiple treatments.

The BOTOX® Cosmetic Massage Technique:

BOTOX® Cosmetic injections used in the forehead and around the eyes to de-active the muscles of expression, have just gotten a lift of their own. Often, with the old BOTOX® Cosmetic injection technique the face is left with an eerie expressionless look. With Dr. Sachs' "BOTOX® Cosmetic MASSAGE TECHNIQUE" patients get a more relaxed refined and softer look and the eyebrows actually can be raised instead of lowered, making the forehead and upper eye area more youthful looking.

Micro needles are used to deliver a concentrated BOTOX® Cosmetic solution to the muscles. Massage is then used to direct the BOTOX® Cosmetic into the exact place of action. The "MASSAGE TECHNIQUE" is an advancement in how BOTOX® Cosmetic is distributed.

"Normally a plastic surgeon or dermatologist will inject the BOTOX® Cosmetic into the offending lines and wrinkles and they're done, the patient can get up and go," explains Sachs. The new refined "MASSAGE TECHNIQUE" does take a bit more time, as it does involve finger manipulation. Yet, the patients walk out so much happier with a gentler look and great expressions to prove it.
